Super Car Kids: Celebrating Wichita Students

At Super Car Guys, being part of the Wichita community means more than selling used cars in Wichita. It means showing up, supporting local schools, and recognizing the kids who are doing great things every day. One of the programs closest to our hearts is Super Car Kids, a community initiative focused on recognizing and celebrating students who are doing amazing things in and out of the classroom.

What Is the Super Car Kids Program?

Each month, we partner with the Wichita Public Schools Foundation (WPSF) and Love Schools to surprise and recognize one outstanding student from USD 259, typically in grades 1–5. These students are nominated by their teachers and principals for things like academic growth, positive behavior, leadership, or simply showing up every day ready to learn.

Once a student is selected, we don’t just give them a shoutout. We celebrate them in a big way! That usually means surprising the student and their entire class with a pizza party, high-fives, and a moment they’ll never forget.

December Super Car Kid Spotlight: Jaxen

In December, we had the honor of celebrating Jaxen, a first grader at Enterprise Elementary School. Jaxen returned to school this year with incredible enthusiasm, and his growth has been nothing short of amazing. He shines academically, actively participates in classroom learning, and uses the support around him to continue succeeding.

To celebrate, we surprised Jaxen and his entire class with a pizza party. The smiles and that “yeahhh” cheering said it all 🍕😄

A Program with a Long History

The Super Car Kids program has been part of Super Car Guys for many years. In the past, we partnered with a local radio station to recognize one student each month with a gift card and a pizza party. At the end of each year, we also awarded a graduating senior a scholarship to help with college expenses.

As time went on, we wanted to be more directly involved. Showing up in schools, connecting with students, and creating those surprise moments ourselves. That led us to partner with Love Schools, and eventually to our current partnership with WPSF.

Why Our Partnership with WPSF Matters

Partnering with Wichita Public School Foundation allows us to reach more schools and support students across the USD 259 district. Along with recognizing a Super Car Kid each month, we also sponsor a school and provide funding to support what that school needs most.

By working directly with WPSF and local schools, the focus stays where it should on the students, teachers, and classrooms.

Why We Do It

We sell used cars in Wichita, but we also live here, raise families here, and believe strong communities start with strong schools. Celebrating kids who are working hard, growing, and leading by example is a small way we can give back and hopefully inspire others to do the same.
