Surprising Angel: One of our Super Car Kids at Woodland Health & Wellness Magnet Elementary

This one takes us back. A few months ago, we had the opportunity to recognize Angel at Woodland Health & Wellness Magnet Elementary as one of our Super Car Kids, and it turned into one of those days you don’t forget.

Community Spotlight: Angel

We had the honor of surprising Angel and his class a few months back as part of our Super Car Kid of the Month program, and this one stuck with us. Angel was originally told he might always struggle with reading… but with a lot of hard work and determination, he’s now reading above grade level AND earning Student of the Month awards. What a 180! That’s the kind of turnaround that deserves to be celebrated.

So when his teachers and counselor nominated him for Super Car Kid of the Month, it was a no-brainer that Angel deserved this recognition. From a surprise pizza party to a classroom full of cheers (and plenty of pepperoni), it was an awesome reminder of why we love supporting Wichita Public Schools Foundation and the students in our community.
